Description of work: 

Under this assignment, Waste Concern Consultants is carrying out the following activities:

– Task 1: Undertaking rapid assessment of plastic pollution along the banks of canals and khals in and around Dhaka city: Volume and composition of littered waste, environmental impact, economic losses, and value chain assessment etc.

– Task 2: Assessment of technologies tackling the problem of plastic pollution in rivers: option development.

– Task 3: Assessment of enabling environment to control the use of plastic: regulatory gap assessment.

– Task 4: Development of response strategy: Citizen awareness, policy intervention, long term investment plan etc.
