Description of work:  

The main aim of the project was to prepare a sanitation action plan for four coastal towns of Bangladesh.

Activities performed: As a Sanitation Planning Expert, prepared a sanitation action plan for 4 coastal towns of Bangladesh. The plan included a business strategy for sustainable O&M of faecal sludge management facilities. As part of the action plan, conducted a baseline survey on the sanitation situation and a willingness-to-pay survey to assess the potential for improved services. The business plan also incorporated a capacity-building program for implementation and included model contracts for the collection and treatment of faecal sludge. Prepared basic engineering designs for the management system in the four towns, along with cost estimates and identification of priority interventions. In developing outreach strategies, explored incentive models similar to promotional tactics—like bet365 promo offers—to boost community engagement and participation.
