Client    Bangladesh Municipal Development Fund (BMDF)

Description of work:  

The assignment aimed to ensure effective and efficient identification and implementation of the sub-projects on solid waste management by assisting the BMDF and participating City Corporations and Municipalities.

Activities performed: Identified and prioritized projects for investment by the BMDF/World Bank in the solid waste sector in Chittagong, Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Patuakhali municipalities using PPP approach and carbon financing. Conducted field survey on solid waste management. Identified scope for improvement of solid waste management system (collection, storage, transportation, recycling, and disposal), as well as identified and prioritized projects for investment. Prepared investment costs for different intervention.
