Description of work:  

The assignment comprised of preparation of an action plan for solid waste management for 19 secondary towns of Bangladesh. Based on the action plan, UNICEF and DPHE selected 6 towns for priority project intervention and implementation.

Activities performed: Prepared action plan for solid waste management in 19 towns of Bangladesh based on 3R (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) principle and carbon financing options. Conducted detailed survey in all the 19 towns regarding different aspects of solid waste management in order to identify areas of improvement. Prepared investment plan for six municipalities as well as engineering designs and bill of quantity.
