A Global First: Compost Plant at Bulta, Roopganj, Greater Dhaka is the First Large-Scale Compost Plant to Receive Carbon Credits Worth Tk. 25.67 lac

The Asia Pacific Carbon Fund (APCF) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed an agreement with WWR Bio Fertilizer Bangladesh Ltd. to purchase 34,200 CERs, resulting from emission reductions generated by the project up to 31 December 2012. The project already received an amount worth Tk. 25.67 Lac from the sale of 7,131 CERs already issued by the UNFCCC. In addition to this, ADB’s Future Carbon Fund (FCF) signed an agreement with the aforementioned project to purchase CERs generated from January 2013 to December 2015.
