Description of work:  

The project supported capacity building on CDM project development in Bangladesh.

Activities performed: Responsible for improving Bangladesh’s institutional preparedness for hosting CDM projects, including capacity building of the Designated National Authority (DNA) enabling it to efficiently approve CDM projects consistent with the country’s sustainable development priorities. Capacity building of local experts in key sectors with regard to identification, design and implementation of CDM. Capacity building of relevant institutions in appraising, funding, and promoting CDM projects and carbon offset investments in Bangladesh. Support the development of a pipeline of actual CDM projects.
