Description of work:

• Test technical and commercial viability of composting and to demonstrate model and process of decentralized composting in Khulna and elsewhere in Bangladesh. As part of the assignment:
• Prepared a detailed engineering design (structural) for the pilot composting plant at the landfill site.
• Supervised the installation of the composting plant
• Advised and provided hands on training and guided Prodipon (an NGO) and municipal staff to operate the composting plant.
• Advised on marketing strategy of compost.
