Project Description

The position is available for an “Integrated Water Management in Urban Areas as a Core Task of Municipal Services of General Interest” project supported by an international development agency.  The project’s duration is 36 months.

Short Term Consultant

 

Job Responsibilities

The consultant will work under the guidance of Waste Concern and in coordination with Goalando Municipality. The scope of work includes the following:

  • Produce high-quality still photographs and drone imagery illustrating climate change impacts and vulnerabilities in Goalando Municipality
  • Document climate adaptation and resilience measures supported by municipal and partner initiatives
  • Capture key municipal infrastructure, services, and urban features
  • Develop a visual archive for use in reports, proposals, presentations, and advocacy materials for Waste Concern and its partners

 

The consultant must consider two types of Photographs

 

  1. Still Photographs – Climate change impacts: river erosion, flooding, waterlogging, damaged housing and infrastructure – Climate adaptation and resilience initiatives: embankments, drainage, shelters, green spaces, and nature-based solutions – Municipal infrastructure and services: roads, drainage systems, waste management facilities, water supply and sanitation infrastructure, public buildings – Livelihoods and socio-economic activities affected by climate change (ensuring ethical representation and consent) – Natural and urban landscapes

 

  1. Drone Photography – Aerial views of rivers, erosion-prone zones, floodplains, and settlement patterns – Municipal land use, infrastructure layout, and climate risk hotspots – short aerial video clips suitable for communication and documentation purposes

 

Post-production

  • Professional editing and color correction of selected still photographs
  • Editing of drone photos and video clips (stabilization, trimming, basic color grading)
  • Preparation of captions, metadata, and organized folders by theme and location

 

Deliverables

The consultant will submit the following deliverables to Waste Concern:

  • 150–200 edited high-resolution (at least 300 dpi) still photographs
  • 30–40 edited drone photographs
  • 5–10 short drone video clips (30–90 seconds each)
  • Organized digital photo archive with captions and metadata
  • All raw photo and video files

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in still photography and drone imaging
  • Proven experience in documenting climate change, environment, urban development, or disaster risk reduction
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating similar assignments
  • Ability to work in challenging field conditions

 

Duration

The assignment will span 7 calendar days from issuance of the work order, including preparation, fieldwork, post-production, and final submission.
