Project Description
The position is available for an “Integrated Water Management in Urban Areas as a Core Task of Municipal Services of General Interest” project supported by an international development agency. The position is available for 03 (three) months starting between August 31, 2025 and December 31, 2025.

Junior Environmental Scientist
Job Responsibilities
- Support data collection on climate-sensitive sectors (waste, water, sanitation, transport, energy, etc.).
- Assist in conducting field surveys, community consultations, and stakeholder meetings.
- Compile and analyze environmental baseline data relevant to climate vulnerability and GHG emissions.
- Contribute to climate risk and vulnerability assessments.
- Assist in preparing maps, charts, and tables using collected data.
- Support identification and documentation of local adaptation and mitigation initiatives.
- Draft sections of the CAP assigned by the lead technical team.
- Perform any other related tasks as required for the successful preparation of the CAP.
Duration and Location
Duration: 90 Working Days (with possibility of extension based on performance and need).
Location: Waste Concern office, with field visits as required.
Requirements
At least B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Science/ Environmental Management/ any relevant discipline from any reputed university. Candidates with M.Sc. in the above-mentioned fields will be given priority. Previous experience in working with climate action plan preparation shall be considered as as added advantages.
