Description of work:
The purpose of this consultancy work was to map and screen ongoing and/or potential new projects in Bangladesh connected to preventing or significantly reducing the extent of marine litter from major sources. Closely coordinated with the Government of Bangladesh’s policies and plans, Waste Concern Consultants identified existing/ongoing cooperation projects as well as new but already planned projects. This assignment supported the Government of Norway in identifying and supporting the most appropriate and efficient projects that aim to prevent marine littering by:
- Mapping and ranking according to a long-list of potentially suitable projects;
- Identification of a short-list to include three projects to be agreed with the Embassy;
- Providing analysis of the short-listed projects
