Pilot Project to Create a Scalable Model to Responsibly Manage Solid Waste and Expand Recycling in Argentina and Indonesia

Description of work:  

 

Assist McKinsey, USA to establish a sustainable solution for source segregation of waste, collection and transportation of segregated waste along with promotion of composting & recycling of waste.

 

Activities performed: As a member of the global design team, responsible for designing the solution and guiding the implementation of specific portions of the project. The project’s objective was to responsibly manage solid waste and expand recycling in Indonesia and Argentina while providing advice and guidance to McKinsey.org, and to any other partners determined by McKinsey.org in connection with the implementation of the project. At the initial stage, responsible for providing necessary inputs in locating infrastructures related to waste transfer stations and Integrated resource recovery centres using maps and satellite images. Also provided support towards preparation of architectural detailed designs for relevant infrastructures.
