Description of work:  

The main aim of the project was to prepare sanitation and drainage strategy and master plan for Chittagong City.

Activities performed: As a key member of the consultant’s team, was responsible for preparation of stategy, action plan, and master plan for solid waste and faecal sludge management sub-component of the project. Provided input for design of a pilot faecal sludge treatment plant, co-compost plant, as well as collection option of faecal sludge. Also was responsible for preparation of business plan for faecal sludge management as well as identification of solid waste management projects for collection, storage, transportation, reycling, and disposal of solid waste. Prepared capital cost and operational cost of different prirority projects on solid waste management for financing by the World Bank.
