Description of work: 

 

The duties and responsibilities being performed are as follows:

i) Prepare solid waste management and faecal sludge feasibility study for Bagerhat municipality and preliminary engineering designs incorporating climate resilience and mitigation; ii)Identify, assess, and evaluate interventions (both hard and soft) stemming from climate-resilient integrated solid waste and faecal sludge management; iii) Lead technical analysis and preparation of necessary feasibility study for solid waste and faecal management in the project town of Bagerhat including an assessment of the landfill site considering Government of Bangladesh and ADB guidelines for landfills iv)Identify priority investment project including design, costs, capacity, and operation and maintenance arrangements including projection of operation and maintenance costs; v) Propose an institutional and implementation modality for construction and O&M, such as service contracts, design-build-operate, and performance-based contract, with special attention to technical and financial sustainability vi)Explore the viability of developing regional treatment and/or disposal facilities; & vii) Propose an appropriate procurement plan for the solid waste management components.
